Cotton Sheets for Hard Sided Waterbeds

Sheets can be with us for a long time.  They can last 10 or 20 years depending on use and care.  Cotton waterbed sheet shoppers should always read the fine print to determine the amount of cotton that is actually in cotton sheets. Often, packaging will say "cotton rich," but the actual amount of cotton in the fabric will be small, and the rest of the sheet is polyester or some other manufactured fiber.    Our cotton water bed sheet sets are 100% cotton.  When purchasing cotton waterbed sheets, be sure to consider the thread count.  Thread count is the number of horizontal and vertical threads in one square inch of fabric. Thread count in cotton sheets can range from a low 80 to over 1000, although most stores sell sheets that range from 180 to 320.  Cotton water bed sheets with a higher thread count are usually more expensive.  High-quality cotton sheets have at least 180 threads per square inch. The higher the thread count, the softer the feel of the sheet.  Expect your 100% cotton waterbed sheets to be slightly large at first to to compensate for shrinkage that will occur with any cotton sheet during laundering.
