Does your waterbed look like the picture above?  If it does, you have what is known as a softside waterbed.  Softside water beds look just like a conventional box spring and mattress but, if you unzip or flip off the quilted top, you will find a waterbed bladder or set of water tubes sitting inside of a foam perimeter.  The foam perimeter of the soft side waterbed is known as foam rails.  There should be a vinyl safety liner covering the foam rails and you may or may not have a low watt heater under the safety liner.  Some soft side water beds have heaters and some do not.  The water bag that sits inside of the waterbed safety liner is called a softside waterbed bladder.  Some people also refer to this water bag as the soft side waterbed mattress.

Since manufacturer's of softside waterbeds constructed their beds to their own designs, the insides of these beds are not consistent, please remove the quilted top and carefully measure the inside of the foam rail (see chart below) and also check to see if the foam rails on your bed are straight up and down on the inside or have a slant to them so that you order the correct soft side waterbed replacement bladder for your bed.  If your bed has a set of water tubes, you will find replacements here.
