The waterbed heater offered here are designed to be used with a hardside, also known as a wood frame, type of water bed. They require a minimum of eight inches of water depth to function properly. Our Ultra solid state water heater is equipped with a solid state circuitry board to control the temperature. This will keep the temperature more exact to where you have it set. There are no moving parts in the control mechanism of a solid state waterbed heater minimizing the chance of worn parts. Be sure to unplug your water bed heater before draining your water bed mattress, and don't plug in the new water bed heater until there is water in your water bed mattress.
